Advocacy & Awareness
To achieve universal access to sanitation and sustainable environmental management, we need systematic and coordinated efforts to advocate for and raise awareness on matters of sanitation.
Universal access to sanitation can only be achieved by gathering accurate data/intelligence, deriving actionable insights from data collected and mobilizing people and resources for change of the status quo.
With help from research and innovation, GSEP uses publicity to create awareness on sanitation pain points, challenges and needs then use advocacy to mobilize for change through stakeholder consultations, partnerships, and other interventions.
For awareness, GSEP engages stakeholders, educates affected populations, and carries out coordinated publicity exercises through workshops, meetings, interactions/publicity through social media, calendar events and forums.
These interactions realize ideas, innovations, plans and itineraries which GSEP refines and implement change through innovation, policy development, enabling legislation/ regulations and community mobilization.
